Gracer Medical Group Staff Bios

Glen Taylor, M.D.

Dr. Taylor was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and graduated from the University of San Francisco before enrolling at the UC Davis School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Psychiatry and then a fellowship in Child and Adolescent psychiatry at UC Davis. He has also completed a postgraduate fellowship in Pain Medicine and is certified by the American Board of Pain Medicine and the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Before joining Gracer Behavioral Health Services, Dr. Taylor worked at Kaiser Permanente, where he was part of the development team that created the chemical dependency programs that are still in place today. He chaired diversion groups for the Medical Board of California's impaired physician program, as well as for the Board of Nursing. He has served in the governance of the California Society of Addiction Medicine and has consulted for county governments and the State Bar of California.

Dr. Taylor currently lives in Contra Costa County with his wife and family. He works at Gracer Medical Group and also consults at The Newton Medical Group in Oakland.
